Meet Stephanie
I have worked with families and students for the last 15 years in both educational settings and school counseling settings. During this time, I realized I could make a broader and deeper impact by extending my work beyond the school environment. This led me to pursue my path as a Licensed Clinical Counselor Candidate, with a holistic focus on mental health and well-being for individuals across the lifespan.
I am especially passionate about increasing access to mental health services for individuals living in rural communities. I believe that everyone deserves access to quality care and compassion, regardless of where they live or what their background is.
My counseling approach is grounded in person-centered and strengths-based modalities. I believe every person is an expert of their life and they have the potential for growth, change, and healing within themselves. I strive to create a comfortable environment for people to open up and share their experiences and feelings without any hesitation or judgment. Using a strengths-based perspective, I help clients build upon their existing abilities and resilience. Rather than focusing solely on challenges, I work collaboratively with clients to recognize their strengths and use them as a foundation for meaningful change. Though I have extensive experience working with adolescents, the range of my counseling services extends to all ages.
When I am not working, you will mostly find me outdoors: backpacking, biking, hiking, spending time with my dogs, and discovering new environments. These activities bring me a sense of balance and groundedness, which is beneficial in my life and my work.
